Butcher's Block History

Company History
The Butcher's Block was founded in 1976 by Dee and Pat Dannelley in the old Deem's market on the corner of 24th & Main St.

Dee was a butcher and had been a cook in the army. The meat market sold all cuts of meat, did custom packing, rented freezer lockers and had the largest deli counter in the area.

As the business grew, they built a new meat market building just to the south of the original. As customers requested more options, they expanded into party trays and holiday food orders, eventually opening the Butcher's Block Restaurant at 2412 Main.
Pat & Dee's customers soon demanded more in the way of catering for special events, weddings and business meetings. They purchased and remodeled a building at 3316 S Main and opened their first banquet facility.

When they outgrew that location, they purchased and remodeled the current location on Fountain Rd. All of the beautiful woodwork was cut, stained, and installed with care by Dee & Pat.

After Dee passed away in 2010, Pat continued to operate the business until her sister Cheryl and brother in law Tony Ramos took over operations in 2013.

Today we are very proud of our company's rich heritage and thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve our customers in the area!
We Hope to See You Soon!
